Brantford’s residential real estate market continues to improve

Brantford’s residential real estate market continues to improve. Average resale price for a 3-bedroom detached bungalow on a 50 ft. by 110 ft. lot stands at $114,500. New home sales average $140,000 to $170,000 for a 1,200 to 1,300 sq. ft. home on a 50 by 110 foot lot. The average price for a 4-bedroom executive home is $180,000.
The north end of Brantford has seen the majority of development for the past 15 years. Lynden Hills, Brantwood Park and Cameron Downs subdivisions offer housing from townhouses to custom-built designs.
Brier Park, a slightly older subdivision, offers a great variety of housing styles. These areas are very popular for their proximity to Hwy. 403 to Hamilton. Commuting time to Toronto is one hour.
Fairview, Grand Woodlands, Greenbrier and Mayfair average 30 years of age, and are popular established areas.

Brantford offers among the best in custom-designed homes in Rosedale, with some beautiful homes on ravine lots, and Ava Heights - which borders onto a private golf course.

Some of the older areas are Eagle Place, Lansdowne, Holmedale and East Ward. There is some industry in these areas, but they offer sturdy, affordable housing with an entry level of $75,000-$80,000.
North Ward is Brantford’s elegant Victorian area, while Echo Place is en route to Hamilton.
