MovingTo has coordinated over 2,600 visa and residency applications across Portugal, Spain, Italy, and Greece since 2021 — with zero rejections. Every article on this site is written by a qualified immigration specialist and fact-checked by a licensed lawyer in the relevant jurisdiction. We publish our editorial process, our corrections policy, and our legal review policy so you can verify exactly how we work. This page explains why families and investors trust MovingTo with their immigration decisions.
Zero Rejections Since 2021
Since MovingTo's founding in 2021, not a single client application coordinated by our team has been rejected. Across 2,600+ visa and residency applications — including Golden Visa, D7, D8, D2, and family reunification programs — our approval record is 100%.
Applications in this space fail for specific reasons: incomplete documentation, incorrect investment structuring, missed deadlines, or failure to meet eligibility criteria. A zero-rejection record across this volume and this many jurisdictions is not luck. It is the result of three things working together: accurate published content that sets correct expectations from day one, thorough document preparation managed through structured checklists, and licensed legal representation in every jurisdiction we operate in.
Our content and our operations are the same pipeline. The accuracy of what you read on this site is tested every time a client application is submitted. If our information were wrong, applications would fail. They have not.
Licensed Lawyers in Every Jurisdiction
Every MovingTo client is represented by a licensed immigration lawyer in their destination country. The same lawyers who handle applications also review the content on this site for legal accuracy. You engage them directly — we do not mark up their fees.
MovingTo is not a law firm. We are an independent coordination layer that manages the process between you and your legal representation. But our editorial credibility and our operational credibility are inseparable — the lawyers who fact-check our published guides are the same professionals who file applications on behalf of our clients.
This means our content is not theoretical. It is written and reviewed by people who are actively practising in the jurisdictions we cover, handling live applications, and encountering regulatory changes in real time.

Founded by People Who Have Done It
MovingTo was founded by Dean and Ana Fankhauser after relocating their family across five countries. They built MovingTo to be the immigration service they wished had existed — licensed lawyers from day one, direct communication, clear fees, and no unanswered emails.
We are a family business. Dean and Ana run MovingTo alongside a coordination team in Lisbon and licensed lawyers in each destination country. Every process we describe on this site — from NIF registration to Golden Visa fund subscription to AIMA biometrics appointments — we have either been through ourselves or coordinated hundreds of times for clients.
This matters because immigration content written by people who have never navigated the process reads differently from content written by people who have. We know what the AIMA waiting room looks like. We know which bank branches actually process non-resident accounts efficiently. We know the difference between what the law says and what happens in practice.

How We Are Different
We are not a law firm. You engage your lawyer directly. We do not mark up legal fees. Our role is to manage the process, the timeline, and the communication so nothing falls through the cracks.
We are not an affiliate site. We coordinate real applications. The content on this site is not written to generate advertising revenue or referral commissions — it is written to set accurate expectations for the clients whose applications we manage.
We are not a fund manager. We operate funds.movingto.com as an independent comparison platform. We present fund data — strategy, fees, track records, liquidity terms — in a consistent format so you and your lawyer can make informed investment decisions. We do not manage funds or take commissions from fund managers for placement.
We are an independent coordination layer. We sit between you and the professionals — lawyers, banks, fund managers, translators, tax advisors — and make sure everyone delivers on time, on brief, and at the price you agreed to. If something is slow, we escalate it. If there is a cleaner route, we steer you there.
