Global Passport Index 2026

The Global Passport Index ranks passports by the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa — including visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, and electronic travel authorisations (eTAs). Data is compiled from the Henley Passport Index, IATA travel information, and VisaGuide databases, cross-referenced quarterly for accuracy.

In 2026, Singapore retains the top position with access to 192 destinations, having overtaken Japan in 2024. South Korea (188) holds second place, while Japan (188) is tied at rank 2, while Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland, Denmark, France, and Ireland provide access to 189 destinations at rank 4. European passports continue to dominate the top 20, with the Nordics, Benelux, and Iberian nations all clustered in the 188–189 range.

The score bands used in the filters are: Very High (180–192 destinations), High (160–179), Medium (140–159), Low (120–139), and Very Low (100–119). Use the search, region filter, or score filter below to explore the full rankings.
