Global Passport Index 2025

The Global Passport Index ranks passports by the number of destinations their holders can access without a prior visa — including visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival, and electronic travel authorisations (eTAs). Data is compiled from the Henley Passport Index, IATA travel information, and VisaGuide databases, cross-referenced quarterly for accuracy.

In 2025, Singapore retains the top position with access to 193 destinations, having overtaken Japan in 2024. South Korea (190) holds second place, while Japan shares rank 3 with seven European passports — Germany, Spain, Italy, Finland, Denmark, France, and Ireland — all providing access to 189 destinations. European passports continue to dominate the top 20, with the Nordics, Benelux, and Iberian nations all clustered in the 188–189 range.

The score bands used in the filters are: Very High (180–193 destinations), High (160–179), Medium (140–159), Low (120–139), and Very Low (100–119). Use the search, region filter, or score filter below to explore the full rankings.
